Calendar for Children’s Miracle Network: Springfield Times Newspaper front page!

Friday, August 20th, 2010

This week, I was featured showing off the color senior calendars we sell to raise $ for CMN.  It was nice they put it on the newspapers’ front page!

We are ALWAYS looking for Juniors and Sophomores, so they are in our stable of possible model calls.  Its a paid gig ($50-$75), plus you get the prestige of representing your high school! Plus, we’ll make you look a whole lot better than I do in this amateurs photograph.

Go to “model search” and fill out and send in your application, its a lot of fun!

model for book cover photo: Aubrey from Junction City High School Oregon

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Aubrey just turned 14 and a mystery writer from Idaho hired me to do the shoot of her for the cover of her new book.

Set in the 1950′s, the young girl needed to be by an ominous old barn, being thoughtful/reflective. It will probably be in BW but this color version is nice too.

New SENIOR VIDEOS

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Why so long between posts?

I’ve been busy taking weddings.  Sorry for the gap….Here is one of those weddings with this mini video that  I liked….(Warning: They liked Classical music, so—relax!).

When your order is over $750, we do a free video of you that we post on facebook, You Tube (and post the You Tube video here as well).

I’m a bit slow technologically at times (that is why I hire a full time Photoshop artist who has now been with me for 11 years!)….but I finally figured out how to move the You Tube videos to this site.

I apologize to all the other seniors who don’t have this new classier version!

Fine art professional portrait photographer california or oregon: comic

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

This is a comic that I read regularly and has a lot of wisdom in its message.  (Unfortunately, the Register Guard posts it in the classified section.)  Here he is making a statement of how our society’s new motto is “good enough“.  That is NOT what made America great…but it is more and more prevelant.  I’m showing you what his characters normally look like vs. “good enough”.

Don’t make this same mistake with your senior portraits. Because hopefully you are personally trying to excel pastgood enough” & so should your senior photographs…..

Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Award Winners

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I was recently awarded two Awards of Excellence in the Prestige Category for the WPPI (wedding and portrait photographers international) print competition.  Over 10,000 photographers attend in Las Vegas (I was a speaker there in 2009).

Professional Photographer Magazine: Oregon children photographer

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

One of my articles, along with 2 photographs, was just published in the international Professional Photographer Magazine this month.

I wrote about the Lane County Children’s Contest, where I and two other professional photographers take images of babies and toddlers and have a fun display of kids photographs at Valley River Center with prizes to the kids and their moms.

It sort of celebrates Mother’s Day too…..make sure you let your mom know you love her!!!

The editor did make a big typo though…as my facebook fans grew by 400 in 3 weeks, not 40….  Speaking of facebook, join us at Bruce Berg Photography or Senior Photographs!

This year, the mall display will run from April 16th until May 10th near the Food Court….come and check it out!

Oregon Wedding Photographer voted Best in Eugene!

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

The Register Guard gave out their People’s Choice Awards last weekend and I was named Best Wedding Photographer.

I LOVE photographing weddings (the only thing that beat them is High School Seniors!)…so its a great honor to know that people like my wedding photographs.

Professional Photography speaker PPA SWPP WPPI SPI SYNC seniors children

Monday, April 12th, 2010

This is the flyer from my speaking to Arizona Professional Photographers.  They chose one of my senior images to use for the cover.

I have just been formally invited to be one of 80 speakers to present my images and information to the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) in London England this coming January.

Over 8,000 photographers from 50 countries come to this huge convention, so is a pretty cool deal with SWPP picking up my tab.

This will be my fourth trip to London, and my streak of great weather will undoubtably come to an end, but that is ok…because 10 days later, I will speaking to Senior Photographers International in Orlando, which will hopefully warm me up!

What does these speaking gigs mean to you?

1. That when you come to Bruce Berg, you KNOW you are getting the fun, Cutting-edge, cool images that take you WAAAAAY beyond what the Newbie photographers can do. and

2. I’m constantly growing and and learning.  When I speak, I also attend and find new ideas that I bring home to Oregon for you.  Europeans have a very different way of seeing and doing  things, isn’t it nice to know that you will benefit too?

I don’t want to provide you with OK, good enough photography.  There is enough of that going around.  I want Stunning.  Artistic.  Beautiful.  Unique.  Creative.
